Check out the gameplay video from cancelled Star Wars: First Assault which was intended to be a competitor in the shooter market and would have focused on 8v8 battles in relatively small maps. The game would have showcased a variety of different weapons and would have been something that we had never really seen in the world of Star Wars gaming before. Though, the newer Star Wars Battlefront does have a very first-person shooter vibe to it, even if it doesn't exactly mirror what First Assault was going to be. What is also really interesting about Star Wars: First Assault is that the game was actually intended to be a prologue and lead up to Star Wars: Battlefront 3, which was finally going to be developed by LucasArts.

On April 28 2017 someone has leaked a Xbox 360 beta copy of the game, so if you have Xbox you can download for yourself online.

Plot

The game allows players to collect characters from the prequel trilogy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, the original trilogy, and Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, and put those characters into battle. Due to the nature of the game, it is not considered to be canon.

The game also features cameos from the Legends characters like HK-47, and the Jedi Consular, Guardian and Sentinel. However, due to the non-canonical nature of the game, this does not canonize the character in the current story acknowledged by Lucasfilm.

Star Wars: Battlefront III was the expected third installment to the Star Wars: Battlefront series. It had gone through multiple stages of "development hell" before being cancelled altogether. However we got leaked cinematics from Free Radical!

In 2006 a third Battlefront game was originally thought to be in development by developer Free Radical whom neither confirmed nor denied it at the time. They originally stated that they were developing a new Star Wars game for LucasArts, and speculation continued that it would come out on 7th generation platforms Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. That same year, Free Radical Design announced that they lost the rights to develop Star Wars: Battlefront III and that the game at that point had been in development for two years. Several years later, Free Radical Design co-founder Steve Ellis said Battlefront III was "pretty much done" in 2008, but that it was effectively canned when LucasArts could not commit to "spend big" on marketing it.

The game went into limbo temporarily, before LucasArts' creative lead/creative director Adam Orth teamed with developer Slant Six, together creating a new vision for a Battlefront sequel. The idea at the time was to make Battlefront III downloadable-only, however, there was no enthusiasm for the project. Slant Six's project ended up meeting the same fate as Free Radical's.

In 2011, Spark Unlimited was developing an "unannounced" game, and, if asked if it was BF3 or not, responded along the lines of: "We cannot comment at this time. Please wait for announcement by LucasArts." The game that Spark Unlimited has been developing was revealed to be Lost Planet 3.

The game was ultimately cancelled when Disney acquired LucasArts through its parent company Lucasfilm. After being acquired, Disney ceased all internal development at LucasArts and laid off most of its staff.

Here is collection of all cinematic trailers for Star Wars: Commander, a mobile strategy game by Disney Interactive, featuring characters, locations, and technology from the Star Wars Saga. The game was released on August 21, 2014 for iOS devices.

Plot

The game features a storyline which takes place between the Star Wars episodes A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. A band of mercenaries has arrived on Tatooine to build a new base of operations. The group is lead by Saponza and his partner. The mercenaries settle in at Saponza's homestead as their new base.

Shortly after settling in, a band of thugs attack the base. After defeating the thugs, the group discovers that they worked for Jabba the Hutt, who has been angered by the defeat.
In search of allies to protect themselves against Jabba, the mercenaries seek out contract jobs for both the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
Upon returning from their contract jobs, the mercenaries find their base destroyed by Jabba's forces. In order to get it rebuilt, the mercenaries must fully align with either the Empire or the Rebels.

After Saponza's partner helped win the battle for Tatooine, the agent was cleared to move his forces to other planets to continue fighting in the war against enemy forces.

Here is cinematic trailer and TV commercial from Club Penguin Star Wars Takeover, a game released in summer 2013 on ClubPenguin.com, with StarWars.com posting an official cinematic trailer on their website in early July. The event featured many characters from Club Penguin, donned in Star Wars–themed attire and personalities such as Princess Leia and Darth Vader. The event reenacted the occurrences of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.

Plot

Herbert returns to seek revenge for his defeat during Operation: Hot Sauce. He assumes the role of Darth Herbert (an obvious spoof of the famous Sith Lord Darth Vader), and recruits an army of stormtrooper penguins to make up the Galactic Empire. He builds a huge floating space station known as the Death Star, and makes plans to destroy Club Penguin Island with the Death Star superlaser.

The island is in a code red alert as they discover the space station floating in the sky. The Rebel Alliance sends out a call for help to Club Penguin Island. Penguins work around the clock to build a landing pad for the Millennium Falcon at the dock, so that when it lands on July 25, penguins can blast into space to destroy the Death Star and save the galaxy.
